Today I got some presents from my mom. She sent my stuffed pig that I had to leave home because it didn't fit my suitcase anymore. ^^ Anyways, I'm so glad that she sent it to me. I love it so much. I won it from a game I played while I was in Singapore. So yeah...it's my lucky charm.
My mom also sent me some Burmese food and gloves! It's always good to get Burmese food. It's something that I miss most. So I made rice with my rice cooker and ate with some Burmese food my mom sent for dinner. It was sooooO tasty! =D

It's been a busy week. I think this semester is busier than the first. Yeah, it is. I am taking more classes. And I just got a job! I am so happy for it. I'm a Phonathan caller this semester. I have to call Ripon's alumni and students' parents to keep in touch and ask for donations. I think it's gonna be fun. I like talking to people.
I'm taking a Fencing class this semester. It's fun! ^^ It makes me move around and get a good work-out.
I'm so looking forward to tomorrow coz' I have my drawing class. It's my favorite class!

Save My Starving Children

Something interesting happened last Saturday. I went to Chicago to volunteer in an organization called "Save My Starving Children" to pack food for starving children around the world. The trip was a bit tiresome coz we had to get up at 4:30 and leave school at 5:15 and it was around 3 hours to drive there. But at the end of the day, we were so happy that we used our time to help the need. We packed 1 year of food supply for 68 children. Isn't that awesome?? ^^
Well, I'm going there again when I have chance. It always feels so good to help others. =)

Back @ School!

It's nice to be home again though the break was awesome. I went to Florida to visit my aunt. The weather was so warm...like my country. My aunt has a 4-year-old daughter so I was baby-sitting my cousin most of the time. But I was lucky enough to get a chance to visit Miami and the Disney World. It was wonderful!
Anyway, I am so excited to get back to school. I am taking my favorite classes this semester; drawing class and public speaking. I'll share my drawings when I have learnt to draw a decent picture. ^^
The weather is pretty cold now. My friends told me that January is the coldest month in Ripon. And they are right! Last night it dropped to -25 degree F. So I stay bundled up! =D

Yule Ball

Last night was amazing. I went to the school formal dance "Yule Ball". I had never been to one before so I was a bit anxious about it. I didn't know what to do with my hair but my friend's friend ^^ helped me with it. I told her that I want something simple but she curled all my hair! I was worried about it coz I looked like a total different person. Anyway it turned out to be really nice! I am really thankful to her for that. At about 9:30 I went to the dance with some friends. It was so cold outside and we were all wearing short dresses! ^^ It was a good scene running to the great hall with high heels =D. Lucky that I was wearing flats; I am not good with heels. At the dance, I was a bit uncomfortable and felt a bit silly coz I couldn't dance. But everyone was so friendly and nice. They helped me dance =D so that I didn't look that silly. The decoration was wonderful. And there was also food which is a good thing coz I am always hungry! ^^The ball was a great break from studying. I have my finals next week =(. Lots of things to do! Well, anyway, I am so glad I went to the dance. I met my friends and made new frieds. I love Ripon!!!

I made it to breakfast for the third time in this semester. It was awesome!!! I love John's omelet. It's the best!
Well...finals are in two weeks. I'm getting anxious! But I am really looking forward to winter break. I am visiting my aunt in Florida. They say the weather is warm there. I'm so excited!
